Nusenda Credit Union Reviews Nusenda Credit Union in New Mexico is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I thought I would gather as many reviews for you so you won't have to live the same horror I did from these people. For Starters they gave "extensions" during corona virus but still dinged people's credit during the extension time frame. Don't take my word for it, read what others say about the worst bank in New Mexico. Nusenda Credit Union Dan Skelly14 reviews4 minutes ago NEW- Worst Company ever! Stay away! They will falsely ding your credit. They gave "extensions" during corona and still dinged people's credit. Tony LIES! They don't care about customers that have been customers for almost 20 years. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! Zac R4 reviews9 months agoIf you're hoping for decent customer service then do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Horrible service reps that arent looking to help you solve your issues and probably dont even try. After requesting to leave a review with how horrible the service was or speak to a supervisor I was hung up on. I told the service rep that I didnt believe they were being honest, was told"i will not listen to you call me a liar," and then got hung up on. Will be closing my account promptly This used to be a good credit union but have swiftly gone downhill. Tyson Hafler1 review agoI own a business and maybe I'm naive for thinking that I should have a business account at a small local credit union, but they offered it so I signed up. I've never complained about a business online, but the litany of problems I've experienced with this incompetent organization is so overwhelming that I felt compelled to do so. I have other banks as well so I have a frame of reference for what's good and bad. Here are just a few of the problems that I can remember right off the top of my head. 1) Their Mobile Deposit feature is useless, better to just take your check in and wait for the money for three to five days than gamble with the mobile deposit accepting your check then debiting the money back out 24 hours later. 2) Every time I go in to discuss my credit limit the employees all say that they have never worked with a business credit card before and try to learn their jobs while I wait. Inevitably they all screw it up in the same ways every time and a process that takes a five minute phone call for any other bank takes weeks. 3) Their customer service is probably fine for the average customer, but again no one knows anything about the business accounts they offer so they just make things up to get you off the phone and if you call them out for doing so they make it seem like it's your fault because they feel cornered. 4) Cancelled an inactive credit card after a couple years without asking or telling me. For those that don't know, it hurts your credit history when your oldest accounts are closed out. This has had a direct effect on my credit. Please if you have a business don't make the same mistake that I did, take your money to a real bank. Kyo RiceLocal Guide·70 reviews·19 photos a month ago I could give no stars I would. Nuesenda credit union has to be the WORST bank in the world! Customer service is a zero and they will never improve. You would think that if the lobby closes at 5pm then the drive through would stay open till 6pm to better serve the community. People who work late or non banking hours. But NO absolutely not. Lobby and drive through close at 5pm Monday-friday so if your an Essential worker or not a snobby bank teller baking here is going to be a pain. Their website is worse. Pass this bank by as fast as you can. Their are better credit unions in town who are able to better serve their community. Lorena V12 reviews year ago I have been banking with Nusenda for well over 10 years. Today I had the most unpleasant experience with an agent at the Paseo and Barstow location. The interaction was so fast that I did not get to even catch her name. Luckily the branch manager came in and helped the situation. She knew how to treat people properly and had great communication skills, unlike the agent. Again, I have been banking with Nusenda for well over 10 years. The only difference this time, was that my Hispanic boyfriend was with me. I'm glad I now know how our interactions will be here and I will not be back. vince vLocal Guide·37 reviewsa year agoI applied for a manager job with Nusenda & in less than 1 hour, I got a email from them stating that after reviewing my application I was not being considered for the role. How is it possible that they processed my application so quickly? Deceptive hiring practice by human resources. Could it be that I have a non-caucasian name? I would never ever consider them for business or even working for them. Joshua Fleming2 reviews2 years agoMy wife had an account for 10+ years with this bank. She unknowingly had an annual automatic withdrawal taken from her unused account.Nusenda proceeded to charge $5 per day until we received a letter 3 weeks later finally notifying us of the mishap. When we finally realized the mistake we payed the withdraw amount and assumed Nusenda would realize this was a complete error and remove the $100+fees that had accrued.WRONG... We were now forced to speak with a very unpleasant individual named Angelina. The "manager". She proceeded to talk down to my wife and hung up on her as we were attempting to get these absolutely ridiculous fees waived... Long story short we ended up paying these crooks $70 of our hard earned money and closed the account. Crazy to think they would treat such a long tenured member with such disregard. april Cloyce51 reviews·1 photo I always check my account so I won't overdraw. I noticed a transaction posted then 2 days later when my account got low the transaction was gone and I took a screen shot of it. I think they are deleting transactions in hopes we make more transactions and overdraw. I was about to spend but didn't cuz I knew they 115 transaction that disappeared in hopes I would overdraw would show back up the next day and it did. Jonathan PendleyLocal Guide·76 reviews·6 photos Lack of care for their customers, and just over all.bad experience. They have lost me all my accounts from business to auto loan, my wife was going to transfer to nucenda not any more, I almost convinced my dad to bring an auto loan over never mind that. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. It takes a lot for me to do a negative review. I would rather write positive reviews. Amy Murray1 review ago Worst bank ever. around three times a month or more I have trouble using my debits cards. Each time my accounts act frozen or my cards are declined even when I have plenty of money on each.I shouldn't have to carry emergency cash. I have 4 accounts at this bank and I can't wait to find a better one. Also, when I have went to them for solutions they simply brush me off and can't give me an answer. I don't want apologies. I want my bank and my cards to work for me. Dina Armijo4 reviews agoWost customer service EVER!!! The lady that helped me (Uptown office) did not introduce herself, shake my hand or even ask my name. Was absolutly not willing to help with my situation and did not offer any solutions for my problem. When I asked for her card she seemed like she did not want to give it to me and tried to just give me the help line number. I had to ask for it again, then she gave it to me. Very bad experience. :( C Kerestes3 reviewsa year agoBait and switched on loan APR. Got a quote online that was slightly better than others, so accepted and started the process. Was told it would take 1-2days to complete the process due to having to process as new member but not told his also included having to visit in person. After inquiring to proceed no times were available the next day and the APR rate was ~0.5% absolute higher. When asked Nusenda said the quote can change due to credit score then proceeded to walk themselves in a hole by showing I was in the highest tier. When asked to speak with a manager I was told the sheet was what they could offer. The rate I was quoted was for a shorter period of time. It was convenient their email version of the quote only had the term length and not APR. At this point I left. Not less than an hour later I got a call from another employee asking about my experience. Repeating my experience they responded by stating the rate I was expecting and one 0.1% lower as being what I was quoted. When I told them the number that was put in writing to me they did not offer any reason for the discrepancy. They asked what they could do - really this was the 3rd correspodance and even an admission that the quote differed from the offer. Enough said. Needless to say I walked into a different establishment and did business with a truthful establishment. Tabitha Lucero3 reviews opened my account at this location over 10 years ago. Everytime I go into this location the customer service is Terrible!! I opened a business on 4th street a year ago and i'll go to a further location as long as I have time. But even when I have to go in this branch it's Awful customer service. It's like pulling teeth for them to do their job, heaven forbid they do it with a smile. I've complained and nothing is ever done, last time I was in there I left my information for the manager and still no call. TERRIBLE customer service. Such a shame!! Jason Gose Local Guide·11 reviews·3 photos All banks are horrible, this one is only slightly less so. Too bad I can't give no stars or negative stars, if only to point out how bad the bad really are. J.D JobenLocal Guide·71 reviewsa month agoBeen a member for more than 7 years, and I'm just now understanding the 2.8 review, some bankers there aren't personable at all, zero people skills. You have to do your own homework before you go see them, and pull information out of them. There was a time when it was easier to speak to those bankers at that branch. I think Nusenda need to take a hard look at their banker staff. One banker couldn't help, I was send to the counter, they said they helped and the issue was resolved, but I found out when I left the bank that my issue wasn't resolved. It's frustrating. Amy WolfLocal Guide·30 reviews·125 photos 3 weeks agoNEWOther than nice tellers and community philanthropy.. this bank is like any other bank…GREEDY!!Especially with the overdraft fees which were NOT my fault but due to communication between PayPal and Nusenda. They kept allowing the withdrawal to come from the incorrect account (I had two). For over a couple of months, I’ve been back and forth with both of them even with a letter from PayPal with proof stating the mistake was on Nusenda’s end. There’s been over 6 overdraft fees and they only covered 2. I asked at least 5 times in different occasions for them to cover the rest but they won’t. I ended up closing my checking and keeping my savings account so the money drawn won’t cause any more overdraft fees. I’m looking for another inexpensive way to cash checks. Until then, I’m hoping they will see their mistakes and pay me back. Totally ridiculous and unfair!!! I’m a VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!! Sarah Nicole7 reviews· month ago Outrageously over priced overdraft fees on an account that I never use. They give you no warning and just keep charging and charging overdraft fees, one after the next until you've accrued 100s of dollars for ONE overdraft. My usual bank wouldn't dream of this...yes I said BANK. A bank better than a credit union? WOW. I regret opening an account with Nusenda. I feel as if my money was unapologetically stolen. Closed!
